The vibrant sounds of steel pan music echoed through the Canadian Exhibition Place on Friday night as the Ontario Steel Band Association presented their annual Pan Alive event. The celebration featured seven local steel bands, each performing the tune of their choice, captivating the audience with their musical prowess.
Leading the charge was Wendy Jones and her Pan Fantasy group, eager to defend their championship title, having won the event multiple times in the past. Threatening to dethrone them was Tommy Crichlow and the Pan Masters Steel Orchestra, bringing a fierce competitive spirit to the stage.

Among the notable performers was Afropan, and returning to the Pan Alive event after a hiatus of several years, was the Silhouettes, whose performance was eagerly anticipated by many. Mark Mosca, a seasoned steel pan artist, delivered an outstanding performance, showcasing his exceptional talent.
As of Sunday, The Caribbean Camera has yet to receive the complete official results. However, it has been confirmed that Pan Fantasy clinched the victory once again with Pan Masters in second place.
