Too bad Dr. Hinds doesn’t make house calls because the May 17 Bloom into Power luncheon, featuring the famed Soca singer, is sold out. If you don’t already have a ticket, you’re out of luck to hear Alison Hinds speak at this non-profit.
The organizers plan to hold a luncheon next year, and here’s hoping that Dr. Hinds will be one of the speakers. By the way, the Barbadian singer received an honorary degree from the University of the West Indies last November, hence the honorific title attached to her name.
The Caribbean Camera featured an article about the Bloom into Power last week. Organized by Kerra Denel and the Caribbean Women’s Network, the luncheon is an annual event staged exclusively for Caribbean women (no men allowed through the doors of the St. Clair West ADV Boutique Venue).
